FAQs for Students

Why do I need an account?

An account is only required so that your progress within the training is stored for you to return back to at any time. It also enables you to access content bespoke to your university and/or accommodation* provider. Your data will never be shared. This tool does not ask questions about your mental health, it is educational only.

*Bespoke content is provided to providers who have purchased a co-branded UNIHEADS platform package.

Do I have to consent to any privacy terms?

Yes – When you self-enrol you must opt-in to acknowledge our privacy policy terms before accessing the training platform

What data is collected?

We collect the following data only; name, email address, accommodation provider, university attended, post-training feedback, training completion and progress. You can find out more by reading our privacy policy

How is my data used?

Your data is required so that your progress within the tool is stored for you to return back to at any time. It also enables you to access content bespoke to your university and/or accommodation provider*.

The data we collect is used solely to improve our services, internal research/marketing and to gauge the impact that training is having. We never share or sell on your data to third parties. You can find out more by reading our Privacy Policy.

How is my data stored?

Data is secured using a Next-Generation firewall and hosted on a secure web hosting platform. This is stored on a Microsoft Azure platform based in London (UK). Systems are penetration tested annually (scheduled) and Cyber Essentials certified. Systems are monitored and patched regularly ensuring security risks are mitigated.

Can I request for my data to be deleted?

If for any reason you would like to delete any data, please email support@uniheads.co.uk with your request. Our team will respond and ensure the request is met.

Can I change my password if I forget?

Yes – there is a ‘forgot my password’ option on the login page. This will send a link to your registered email address enabling you to change your password.

FAQs for Providers & Universities

How do university students access UNIHEADS training?

Students will receive a registration link from which then can self-enrol and consent to platform use. Alternatively, they can self-enrol by visiting www.uniheads.co.uk to sign up and consent to platform use.

Is there are a cost to access the training?

UNIHEADS is provided to students for free as part of our corporate social responsibility. Student can access our free online training through self-enrolment via our registration page. We also offer a co-branding service for providers and universities. This provides a

fully bespoke and branded version of the training (including content, signposting, analytics reports, platform maintenance, support and hosting) for a small annual licensing fee.

How is UNIHEADS free training funded?

We are currently funded by our parent company; Champion Health Ltd. UNIHEADS training has been developed as part of our corporate social responsibility.
